Yesterday, we had a look at adding the suffix -ion to root words. In the Teams meeting, we identified two rules that apply when adding the -ion suffix, well done to those children who attended and joined in. 

Today’s learning, is session two of the -ion suffix, we will be looking at two more spelling rules and turning verbs into nouns. We will go through this together on Teams at 9:00.

Science

Today is our last day learning about electricity and circuits online.  We have got a number of activities to choose from.  Some of them will be getting ready for working on circuits practically in the classroom…THE WAY WE SHOULD LEARN ABOUT THEM!!!!!   YEY!!!   Some of them are to see how much you have learned from our online learning.

Before we begin, let’s take a look at my version of the Conductivity Investigation I asked you all to have a go at yesterday.

Challenges

Firstly…a word search.  Watch out though, you have to use a different colour for the conductors and insulators!!!

Next up, a challenge that we are going to do in class next week that i want you to start thinking about.  Once you have picked which challenge you will attempt, you will be given the resources listed on the challenge and then given 30 mins to use those resources to complete the challenge!  Start to think about how you will do this, you can discuss your ideas with a parent.

Finally.  We have an assessment.  This will test how much you have learned about electricity and circuits while we have been online.  It is important that you do this yourself, without ANY help from a grown up!  They can read the question to you BUT not explain what it means!!!  just like when we do a test in school.  Remember, it is ok to not know the answer!  That tells me what bits I need to re-do in school!
