SPAG

This is a skill we have covered several times already this year BUT it’s a tough one.  SO, we keep revisiting it to make it stick! Apostrophes!

Easy

Use an apostrophe followed by an s to show what belongs to Homer.

Medium

Does the word end in s because it’s plural or, because it’s possessive?

That will tell you whether it needs an apostrophe or not!

Difficult

OK. This one is tough.  It will need you to use apostrophes for possession, (like in the ones above) AND for contraction (to show missing letters).  Watch out, there are examples in there to catch you out!

Reading

Today’s reading activity is based on the extracts from David Walliams’ books.  Click on the photo of him to go to the extracts, hear him reading them aloud and to see the activities.

There are 3 activities, ONLY CHOOSE ONE!

Topic

It is time to design EXACTLY what your video game machine will look like.  What size and shape will you choose?  What materials have you got in mind?  How will people instantly recognise the type of game and the theme you have gone for?  How will it be played?  What is the input method?  How will you make it work?  Can you design some money-making merchandise that you and your team could make?
