Our Topic this term is…Where are we from?
What is Book Club?
Book club is a new initiative in school where the whole class take the same book home to read. We read an agreed amount at home each week and then on Monday afternoon, we have a book discussion. what are the themes in the story? Why has the author told us or done something in the text? Followed by a short activity. I will post up here each week, which section of the book to read. Please don’t read any further as it can affect what we do the week after.
It doesn’t matter if you read the book together, the child reads alone or the adult reads to the child. I’ll always indicate what we will be discussing in class as this may help give you something to discuss about what you have read at home.
